Arizona Lottery Game Details

The following details explain the basics of the Arizona Lottery games. At the bottom of this page is a direct link to the Official Arizona Lottery Site. These Arizona Lottery Games are supported by the Lottery Software.

The Pick 5

Pick 5

Fantasy 5 is now Pick 5. Sure, $50,000 is nice, but for us, it wasn't enough. So with Pick 5, the jackpot now starts at $50,000 and then keeps on rolling, based on sales, until someone matches all 5 numbers to win. And as always, match four numbers and walk away with $500. Just three numbers will get you $5.

Pick 5 drawings are held each evening, Monday through Saturday. You never know, your fantasy just might become a reality.

Pick 5 prize payout chart

* = If other players also match all five of the first five numbers, you'll share the prize pool with them in equal amounts.

The Pick Arizona Lottery

The Pick?

Every Wednesday and Saturday night

The Pick ™ is Arizona's own jackpot game with jackpots starting at $1 million and growing until someone wins. The Pick has four ways to win. Match all 6 numbers to win the jackpot. The Pick drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday evening.

You can buy your tickets for The Pick between 4 a.m. and midnight. On Wednesday and Saturday, sales stop at 9:30 p.m. and may resume for the next drawing at participating retailers from 9:35 p.m. until midnight.

Drawing game tickets cannot be voided. All sales are final. Drawing prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing.

How to Play

The Pick™ is Arizona's own jackpot game with jackpots starting at $1 million and growing until someone wins. You have two ways to pick your numbers.

  • Choose Quick Pick and let the computer select your numbers for you.
  • Choose your own numbers and mark them on the selection slip. Pick six numbers (1 through 44).

You can play The Pick for up to 10 consecutive drawing dates on the same ticket. Just tell the retailer at the time of purchase or mark the Number of Draws box on your selection slip.

How to Win

With four ways to win, match (in any order) three, four, five or all six of the first six numbers drawn.

Payment Options – If you win the jackpot, you have 60 days to choose either a 30-year annuity or a lump-sum cash payment of approximately half the amount of the announced jackpot. If you do not select cash or annuity within the 60 days, your prize will be paid as an annuity.

Overall odds of winning a cash prize are approximately 1 in 39.

* If other players also match all six of the numbers, you'll share the prize pool with them in equal amounts.

The Pick with EXTRA – Choose The Pick EXTRA option for chances to win cash instantly. For just a dollar more, EXTRA gives you 6 extra numbers on your ticket. If any match your ticket numbers, you win $1, $2, $5, $10, $25, $50 or $250 instantly.

When buying The Pick ticket, check the EXTRA selection box or tell the retailer that you want to purchase the EXTRA option. When playing more than one board, specify how many EXTRA options you wish to play.

For more information on EXTRA, visit the EXTRA web page.

Watch the Drawings — Tune into KNXV ABC 15 in Phoenix, KOLD News 13 in Tucson, or Univision Arizona at approximately 10:25 p.m. Mon. - Sat.

Pick 3

Pick 3

Drawings are held every Monday through Saturday evening.

Purchase Phoenix Coyotes® Pick 3™ tickets.
Phoenix Coyotes Pick 3 tickets may be purchased from 4:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. every day.

3 simple steps to Phoenix Coyotes Pick 3.
1.   The Phoenix Coyotes Pick 3 selection slip has two game play columns on each play slip.  There is a set for "Game A" and another for "Game B."  Mark a 3-digit number in both columns if you're playing two games for $1.  If you want to play one game for $1, indicate your number under the "Game A" column only.  Or you can always ask for a Phoenix Coyotes Pick 3 Quick Pick ticket and let the computer choose your numbers for you.  Remember, the play type will still need to be picked.

2.   Decide how you want to play your numbers (Straight, Box, Straight/Box, Front Pair, Back Pair) and mark the appropriate box for "Game A" and "Game B." Remember, the way you play determines how much you can win.

3.   Decide the number of draws you want to play. You can play the same numbers and play types for up to 12 consecutive draws on each selection slip.

5 ways to play - 7 ways to win!
To win a prize, check your numbers and the play type with the winning numbers drawn. Remember that the play type you choose when you purchase your ticket determines the amount you win.

Powerball

New to the Game?

Powerball ® is a multi-state jackpot game with a jackpot starting at $15 million and increasing until it’s won. You get nine ways to win with Powerball. Match all 5 numbers plus the Powerball to win the jackpot. Powerball drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday evening.

Wednesday and Saturday Powerball sales stop at 7:59 p.m. Arizona time from the first Sunday in November through the second Saturday in March, and at 6:59pm Arizona time from the second Sunday in March through the first Saturday in November.

Drawing game tickets cannot be voided. All sales are final. Drawing prizes must be claimed within 180 days of the drawing.

How to Play

Powerball ® is a multi-state jackpot game with jackpots starting at $15 million and increasing until it’s won. You have three ways to pick your numbers.

  • Choose Quick Pick and let the computer select your numbers for you.
  • You can choose your own numbers and mark them on the selection slip. Pick five white numbers (1 through 55) plus one red Powerball number (1 through 42).
  • Choose just white numbers, or just the red Powerball number, and Quick Pick the other number(s).

Play as many as you want, the way you want. You can play Powerball for up to 10 consecutive drawing dates on the same ticket. Just tell the retailer at the time of purchase or mark the Multi-Draw box on your selection slip.

How to Win

Powerball has nine winning ball combinations. The more numbers you choose that match the numbers drawn, the more you win. If other players also match the six winning jackpot numbers, you’ll share the prize pool with them in equal amounts

Payment Options – If you win the jackpot, you have 60 days to choose either a 30-year annuity or a lump-sum cash payment of approximately half the amount of the announced jackpot.

If you do not select cash or annuity within the 60 days, your prize will be paid as an annuity.

Match 5 Bonus Prize - Whenever the Powerball jackpot reaches a record level, the amount of the jackpot prize is limited to increases for each draw of no more than $25 million. The prize money collected in excess of the $25 million increase will be placed into a Match 5 Bonus prize pool and will accumulate until there is a jackpot winner. When there is a jackpot winner, the Match 5 Bonus prize pool will be divided equally among all winners of the Match 5 prize. The prize will be paid in one cash lump sum. The Match 5 Bonus prize is in addition to any Power Play prizes that may be won. The Match 5 Bonus prize is not multiplied. A Match 5 winner who also played the Power Play option would win the original $200,000, the amount paid under the Power Play multiplier option, and the new Match 5 Bonus effective bonus prize. For more detailed information about the Match 5 bonus prize, visit the Powerball website.

Multiply your winnings with PowerPlay® – When you choose Power Play, you can multiply the prize up to five times. For an extra $1 per game, you can multiply your winnings by a number from two to five randomly selected at draw time. Mark the Power Play box or ask the cashier for the Power Play option. Power Play does not apply to the jackpot and Match 5 Bonus prizes.

Watch the Drawings — Tune into KNXV ABC 15 in Phoenix, KOLD News 13 in Tucson, or Univision Arizona at approximately 10:25 p.m. Mon. - Sat.
